Thank you for your interest in joining the Kate Ivey Fitness team.
Kate Ivey Fitness is the home of DediKate, an online health and fitness community built for rural, regional and real women. Founded by Kate Ivey, DediKate has grown to over 3,500 members across New Zealand, Australia and beyond.
Our brand voice is warm, real and down to earth, no overwhelm, no pressure, no judgement. We want women to feel like they can just press play and start where they are. We're looking for someone who can bring that same feeling to life across our social channels.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Organic Social Media Manager to take ownership of Kate Ivey Fitness’s organic social media presence across Instagram and Facebook. You'll lead our organic social strategy and content calendar, deciding what we should be talking about, what content we should be creating, and how we keep growing and engaging our audience.
You'll have access to a huge bank of existing photography, video, member stories, behind-the-scenes content and b-roll, and you'll work with Kate, our trainers and the wider marketing team to identify any additional content we need.
This is a hands-on role: you'll still create, edit, schedule and publish content, but we're looking for someone who can lead the function, not simply execute a content plan. We want you watching what's working, spotting opportunities, testing new ideas and making recommendations about what we should do next.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead Kate Ivey Fitness’s organic social media strategy across Instagram and Facebook, with a clear focus on audience growth, engagement and ultimately member acquisition and retention
- Own the organic content calendar, aligning it with Kate Ivey Fitness’s wider marketing calendar, campaigns, launches and business priorities
- Proactively identify content opportunities, deciding what we should create, repurpose, test or capture, rather than waiting to be briefed
- Work with Kate, trainers and the wider team to plan and capture the content needed to bring that strategy to life
- Create, edit, schedule and publish Reels, Stories and feed content using existing and newly captured footage
- Lead organic social support for campaigns such as challenges, programme launches and partnerships
- Manage community engagement and ensure the Kate Ivey Fitness personality comes through in comments and DMs
- Own reporting and analysis, using performance data to continually adjust the strategy
- Stay ahead of platform changes, trends and opportunities, and recommend what Kate Ivey Fitness should be doing in response
What We're Looking For
- Someone who is comfortable taking ownership and making recommendations: we don't want to have to tell you what to post each week
- New Zealand resident with the right to work in NZ
- Proven success leading organic social strategy and content, you'll be asked to share examples
- Confident using design and editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience scheduling and publishing content (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Metricool or similar tools)
- Comfortable interpreting performance data and using it to shape strategy, not just report on it
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of your workflow (e.g. for captions, editing assistance or content ideas)
- Solid understanding of how to grow an audience organically on Instagram and Facebook
- Self-motivated, with the discipline and ability to work independently in a remote role
- A genuine passion for women's health, wellness and/or exercise
- A genuine connection to, or interest in, the Kate Ivey Fitness brand values: real women, no judgement, small wins celebrated loudly
- Bonus: experience with rural and regional lifestyle content, or an understanding of what busy, real-life women need from a fitness brand
What You'll Get
- A flexible, fully remote, part-time role
- NZD $37-$45 per hour, depending on experience and emploee vs contactor
- Real ownership: the autonomy to shape and run Kate Ivey Fitness’s organic social strategy, not just execute someone else's plan
- The chance to help grow a community of 3,500+ women across New Zealand, Australia and beyond
- A genuinely supportive team, working directly alongside Kate Ivey and the wider Kate Ivey Fitness crew
How to Apply
We want to see your personality as much as your portfolio. To apply, please send us:
- A short video (2 minutes or less): introduce yourself on camera and tell us why you'd like this role. Kate really wants to get a sense of who you are, not just read about it
- Links to the social media accounts you've grown or managed, so we can see your work in action
- 2-3 examples of organic content you've created, along with any results you're proud of, plus a line on the thinking or strategy behind them
Applications will be reviewed as they are received and may close once a suitable candidate is found.
Please fill in the form below. If we feel you could be a good fit, we'll be in touch.
