Meet Cara – Our Newest DediKate Trainer 💪
At DediKate, we’re all about bringing together trainers who genuinely care about helping women feel strong, capable, and supported through every stage of life. So we’re incredibly excited to introduce Cara, the newest member of the DediKate team.
Cara joins us as a HIIT and Strength trainer, bringing more than a decade of experience in the fitness industry. She’s also a mum of two, living in Bunbury in the beautiful South West of Western Australia, where beach days, family time, and movement are all part of everyday life.
Cara recently sold her CrossFit gym after 12.5 years of building an incredible community, and we’re thrilled she’s bringing her passion and expertise to our members.
From CrossFit Owner to Women’s Strength Coach 🏋️♀️
Cara is an experienced Personal Trainer and CrossFit coach, having spent over a decade helping people move better and feel stronger.
In December 2025, she and her family made the big decision to sell their CrossFit business, CrossFit Bunbury, after running it successfully for 12.5 years.
It was a huge milestone.
While it was emotional to close that chapter, it also created space for a new focus — coaching women over 35 and supporting them through midlife and beyond.
Today, Cara specialises in coaching women, helping them build strength, confidence, and capability in a way that fits their real lives.
Her philosophy is simple: Fitness should support the life you want to live.
A Little More About Cara 👇
We asked Cara a few fun questions so you can get to know her better.
What’s one thing people are always surprised to learn about you? 🤫
That I’m actually quite introverted. I love coaching and helping people, but I also love quiet time — a weekend with no plans is actually my favourite.
What does a perfect Sunday look like in your world? ☀️
- An early morning trip to the farmers market with my son, followed by coffee. ☕
- A walk or bike ride with the family, then a beach hang. 🌊
- A slow afternoon before doing a little prep for the week ahead so Monday doesn’t feel chaotic.
What’s a small everyday thing that instantly makes your day better? 💬
A good coffee and a chat with my clients.
What’s something totally random you’re really good at?
Rapping 90's songs 🎤😜
If you had a warning label, what would it say? ⚠️
Can’t chat and count at the same time.
What’s your most unhinged snack habit?
Not exactly a snack combo… but I will often wake up in the middle of the night and eat a few slices of cheese! 🧀
What’s the best piece of fitness advice you’ve ever been given? 💡
This is something I often tell my clients: “Train for the life you want to live. Train so you’re strong, capable, and independent for decades.”
If you weren’t a trainer, what would you be doing? 🤝
Still helping people in some capacity. I actually loved my days working as a Personal Assistant.
Why We’re So Excited to Have Cara on the Team 💚
Cara’s approach to training aligns perfectly with what we believe at DediKate.
It’s not about chasing perfection or punishing workouts.
It’s about building strength that supports your everyday life, lifting kids, hiking trails, feeling confident in your body, and staying capable as the years roll on.
She brings a warm, grounded coaching style, plenty of experience, and a deep understanding of how women’s training needs evolve over time.
And we think you’re going to love her sessions.
Try Cara’s First Power Session 🔥
Cara’s first Power Session drops on DediKate this Wednesday night (18th March 6.30pm NZT), and we’d love you to give it a go.
