Is My Body Ready to Return to Exercise Postpartum?
We help you make an informed decision on when the right time is to return to begin rebuilding your body through exercise!
The return to exercise depends on many factors
We encourage women to take their time, listen to their bodies and seek professional support from a Pelvic Floor Physio.
Congratulations on the birth of your baby!
We understand the desire to get back into exercise for your mental as well as physical health can be strong, but we also know that jumping in too soon can cause problems. So how do you know when is an appropriate time to begin?
Uncomplicated Vaginal Birth
Generally those who had an uncomplicated vaginal birth can start with low impact, postpartum specific exercise between 6-8 weeks postpartum. If you are less than this, you can start our Core Connect sessions, until you reach 6-8 weeks.
Cesarean Birth
Generally those who had a cesarean birth and are healing well can start with low impact, postpartum specific exercise from weeks 8 to 10. You can start our Core Connect sessions from 5 weeks.
