Making the Most of Lockdown
Let's focus on the things we can control!
How are you feeling?
Being in lockdown has caused a major change to our normal lives and can have us feeling all sorts of different things - often all within the same day!
Feeling a little out of sorts is completely normal, we have to be kind to ourselves as we navigate this new territory.
Rather than worry about all the things we can’t control, let’s focus on the things we can!
We would like to share some things that help us provide structure, motivation, gratitude and peace to our lockdown days to help make them a bit easier!
Routine
It is so important to get into some sort of routine! This helps to provide structure to your day, keep you moving and help you feel accomplished. This can be done through making lists, laying out a plan for the day and being consistent with your time.
Create Healthy Habits
Focus on the positive, like creating healthy habits! This includes healthy eating, movement throughout the day, focusing on proper hydration and on your mental and physical wellbeing! For example, eating until you are satisfied, drinking water when you are thirsty and getting up and going for a walk!
Meditations
During hectic and uncertain times it is important to take care of your mental health. Meditation can help with this by allowing us to recenter, reflect and refocus. Meditation is an exercise which will help reduce stress, improve focus and attention, improve sleep and gain a new, calmer perspective on your everyday life.

Challenges
Joining a challenge is a perfect opportunity to keep you moving and focused! A DediKate challenge will help you feel successful, accomplished as well as it provides you structure and a plan for your week. Set Goals
By setting goals you are proactively thinking about your future! Setting goals can help provide you motivation, focus and it gives you time to reflect on your life and what you want to accomplish in the future. And how great do you feel when you achieve your goal?!!
This can be a challenging time for many reasons so be kind to yourself! Remember to enjoy the little moments in life, celebrate the smaller wins, be proud of what you accomplished in a day no matter how big or small, get a breath of fresh air and remember we will get through this!
