See what we got up to!
Last week Kate, Caro and Ange travelled to Sydney, NSW and visited Tamworth, Gunnedah and Inverell for the @groeventsgroup International Women's Day Events! It was so lovely to meet you all!
Tamworth
A night in Bondi and a swim in the ocean helped us recover from the scorching Aussie heat that welcomed us, before we left for Tamworth.
We celebrated International Women's Day at a breakfast in Tamworth where Kate spoke on a panel with, and to, strong, confident and powerful women.
"The theme of this years IWD is innovation and technology for gender equality. A subject I am extremely passionate about - it’s what we do everyday. DediKate is an innovative technology platform that empowers women to use exercise as a tool to be their best selves.
When we as women prioritise ourselves and look after ourselves through exercise and a balanced lifestyle we are putting our hands up and saying “we matter”.
As women, we must treat ourselves with respect, to model how we should be treated. Exercise to feel good and for all the benefits personally and professionally, physically and mentally.
We must also support other women. We don’t have to play second fiddle to men and we achieve that by showing the standard. When you see a friend start a journey to being active, know that it is more than getting fit - it’s gaining confidence and control. When your neighbour starts a new business, support her, she’s gaining financial independence and self worth."

Gunnedah
We attended a stunning cocktail party in Gunnedah on Thursday night where Kate spoke on the panel! Gunnedah is a town of around 10,000 people in North Eastern NSW, the region has a lot of agriculture (cotton, beef, pork etc) and mining (coal) and used to call itself the Koala Capital of the World 🐨. An awesome area with lots happening! 👏
Again we were lucky to meet more progressive, courageous and friendly Australian women.

Inverell
We saved the best til last, an IWD long lunch and after party! 🎤👗🍸 This was another incredible opportunity where Kate spoke to 120 women from Inverell about business, equality, and inclusion, and what makes DediKate so special!
We couldn't believe how close we were to Queensland here, which made for a long trip back to Sydney on Sunday. Inverell is a beautiful town with great boutique shopping! The area is well known for its agriculture and sapphires! We wish we could have stayed longer!
We met so many incredible women, so friendly and welcoming! Thanks @groeventsgroup for another fabulous event and to Inverell for having us!
