To get the best results and help you achieve sustainable and balanced health and fitness goals, check out our top 3 exercise tips:
1) Make sure to Include a balance between weight training and cardiovascular endurance.
A balance between weight training and cardiovascular endurance provides a strong recipe for you to build strength and muscle mass while also reducing body fat. The balance of both also contributes to overall health and mental well being. The most important thing to remember is that you don’t need to be running marathons or lifting huge amounts of weight. Instead, find a healthy balance between the two and they will compliment each other providing you with the results you’ve worked for.
2) Warm-up and cool-down.
A well-planned warm-up and cool-down helps you to get the best results from a workout. Warming up before you exercise allows your body to be ready for your workout - allowing it to move more fluently and efficiently. Cooling down will help your muscles recover from the exercise completed and prepares them to rest so that they are ready to move again for your next workout. A good warm up and cool down also reduces the chance of injury and decreases muscle soreness. By working with your body and taking proper care of it, you’ll feel better both physically and mentally.

There's still one more tip to come!
Don’t over do it.
We understand you want to do the most to get in the best shape you possibly can! It's great that you're so motivated, however too much exercise can also lead to burnout. Burnout is a state of physical, emotional and mental exhaustion, this happens when we push ourselves too far and take on more than we can handle. With burnout you risk the chance of flip-flopping between hardcore exercise to no exercise at all, which won’t provide the results you want. When working towards a fitness and health goal it is critical that you find a sustainable, healthy and balanced approach to exercise. We like to incorporate SMART goals that you can use as an approach to exercise: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. The SMART Goals approach will help you learn how to maintain and achieve your fitness and health goals!
- Specific: State exactly what you want to accomplish.
- Measurable: Use smaller goals to measure your progress.
- Attainable: Make your goals achievable.
- Realistic: Set a goal that is relevant to where you are right now in your life.
- Timely: Give yourself time, but set a deadline.
It's about steady and sustainable!
By incorporating these 3 tips into your daily health and fitness practice, you’ll begin to see results, feel energised and gain confidence! As well as improve your performance and enhance your mental and physical health - how great!
Remember, it’s not about the quick fixes - these don’t last long term. Steady and maintainable and you will be setting yourself up for a lifetime of success!
