What is DediKate Regulate?
DediKate Regulate is an education programme led by Amy, the qualified DediKate Nutritionist (MSc), to teach you science based nutrition fat loss techniques for healthy and sustainable fat loss. The programme focuses on mental wellbeing because we believe the body will follow where the mind leads, making it so important to lead it in a positive direction.
DediKate Regulate is about achieving fat loss from a place of self care not self harm.
We will teach you to prioritise your nutritional requirements, encouraging a compassionate approach to dietary changes and getting rid of negative self talk and emotions attached to your food choices. Fat loss is a journey that can be healthy and enjoyable!
This is the programme for you if:
1. You are sick of constantly dieting and getting nowhere
Research has shown that most weight loss diets don’t work long term. Often all of the weight that somebody has lost during an intensive diet is regained, sometimes even more weight than when they started. This is because sustainable behaviour change is the only way to effectively maintain lower body fat once you have reached it. This means that you need an education to learn why and how to change nutritional choices. If quick fixes have failed you time and time again then it’s time to look at sustainable behaviour change and improving your nutrition knowledge for long term results.
2. Dieting has given you an unhealthy relationship with food
Fad diets are all about losing weight as quickly as possible but that means a whole heap of food restriction. Excessive food restriction has a huge impact on us biologically and mentally, making us crave food and massively increasing your risk of bingeing. This can lead to a very unhealthy relationship with food, as you desperately try to eat less and fail, which leads to more restriction. It’s a vicious cycle! If you feel emotional about food choice whether that is guilt, shame, stress, confusion or rebellion then it is highly likely you need to work on your relationship with self and food. In the Regulate programme we will neutralise your approach to food as neither good nor bad, and clear up some of that food fear and confusion.
3. Conflicting dieting messages confuse you
Fad diets often come with weird and wonderful food rules and regulations, for example, no carbohydrates, no sugar, no caffeine, no fat, no enjoyment, only cabbage soup is allowed etc. Following multiple of these rules often leaves you with little room to move in terms of what you can actually eat! This builds diet anxiety over time. If you find diets frustrating and confusing they may have left you demotivated and at a loss as to what to actually do next to reach your goals. Nutrition education and knowing the why behind food choices will not only help you to spot an unhelpful fad diet but will allow you to feel confident in your food choices on your healthy fat loss journey. You need a process you are able to trust, not a quick fix.
